Helen Van Wyk

Helen Van Wyk began painting at the age of 12, and her long illustrious career lasted for over 65 years until her death in December, 1995. She painted portraits for theater personnel, doctors, and industrialists throughout the United States and Europe. Her still lifes and landscapes were so exquisite she was asked to lecture and demonstrate in galleries in over 300 cities, including the Smithsonian.

Helen won hundreds of awards throughout her career, and several of her paintings reside in the New York Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art. During her career, only six of Helen’s paintings were reproduced as limited edition lithographic prints, numbering only 500 per painting.
